Fishing Trips

For 1 to 4 customers. Duration 4-8 hours. Price 100 €/ hour, includes Vat.

Please contact us to set the date for your trip. By reservation we can also arrange a warm meal for all 4- to 8-hour fishing trips.

Ladies' Fishing Trip
A trip that combines fishing, sight-seeing and a picnic – intended especially for ladies. We will first fish for 1 to 3 hours and then drive to see the sights like the beautiful Raikuu Canal and the magnificent stone walls of an old defence line called Salpalinja.

The trip includes our picnic package and barbequing sausages on a campfire. If the weather is nice, we can stop on a nice beach and you can go swimming. There will be a restroom or fishing cottage for changing clothes. You can also send your discreet fishing guide away for a couple of hours and enjoy the beach in private.

For 1 to 4 ladies. Duration 4-8 hours. Price 100 €/ hour, includes Vat.

Casting Trips
This is a fast-paced spinning, jigging and vertical jigging trip to the near-by waters. If you choose a 4-hour trip, we'll grab our picnic package in the boat without going ashore. If you choose a longer trip (5 to 8 hours), it is recommended to stop by a campfire for a proper picnic, barbequing sausages and cooking tea or coffee.

Boat Angling Trip
A calm-paced angling trip with angling and ice fishing equipment. Depending on the season we will fish either from the boat or the shoreline. Ice fishing equipment can be used also in the summertime and it’s a fun way to fish from the boat.

Classic Fishing Trip
An action-packed and versatile fishing trip: you can use both trolling and casting, jigging and/or vertical jigging. This trip is a good way to get acquainted with fishing methods you may not have tried before.

If you choose a 4-hour trip, we'll grab our picnic package in the boat without going ashore. If you choose a longer trip (5 to 8 hours), it is recommended to stop by a campfire for a proper picnic, barbequing sausages and cooking tea or coffee.

Bikini Trolling / Casting
Bikini Trolling / Casting is a daytime sun charter type of trolling trip to Lake Saimaa in the summer including our picnic package and cooling beverages for a hot day.

While fishing, bathing in the sun and enjoying your favourite music, you can relax in our two deck chairs. If you choose a 4-hour trip, we'll grab our picnic package in the boat without going ashore. If you choose a longer trip (5 to 8 hours), it is recommended to stop by a campfire for a proper picnic, barbequing sausages and cooking tea or coffee.

Night Fishing
A night-time fishing trip that consists of trolling, casting or both. We’ll be catching mainly pike and zander, maybe even salmon and trout, in July when the nights are long and light.

During the darkest night we'll stop by campfire for a proper picnic, barbequing sausages and cooking tea or coffee. If we’re lucky and fishing at lake Paasselka we might even see the famous Paasivesi Devil, a luminous phenomenon that has intrigued the minds of local people for centuries.

Fishing Trips with a Warm Lunch

When you choose one of our trips that includes cooking and having a warm meal outdoors on an open fire, we will buy the fish we eat beforehand, just in case we won’t catch enough for eating during our trip. Of course we can also barbeque sausages instead, if you like. Please ask about our menu. You are welcome to take part in cooking – we will give you guidance and good tips about cooking on a campfire! VAT 13 % will be added to the lunch prices.

Barbequing sausages and cooking coffee on a campfire (we’ll stop for 1-1,5 hrs) For 1-4 persons 50 € + price of trip, for 5-6 persons 75 € + price of trip.
Main course + dessert (we’ll stop for about 2 hrs) For 1-4 persons 100 € + price of trip, for 5-6 persons 150 € + price of trip.
Starter, main course + dessert (we’ll stop for 3-3,5 hrs) For 1-4 persons 200 € + price of trip, for 5-6 persons 250 € + price of trip.

Boat Charters

Salpa Line Charter
A boat charter from the Savonranta Guest Harbour to the beautiful Raikuu Canal and the unique WWII-era defence line called Salpalinja (Salpa Line) – it is an attention-grabbing sight for anyone, let alone people that are interested in history.

The trip includes our picnic package as well as barbequing sausages on a campfire. If the weather is nice, we can stop on a beach for some swimming and sun bathing.

For 1 to 6 persons, duration 3-8 hours. Price 100 €/ hour, includes Vat.

Sunny Day Charter
A special sunny summer day charter from the guest harbours of Savonranta and Joensuu to the nearby waters. Paasselkä has a fascinating history: it is a deep (70 meters at most), oval-shaped lake caused by a meteorite millions of years ago. Paasselka is located at Savonranta.

If you wish, you may take a swim in the middle of the crater (we have a ladder in the boat for easy climbing in and out of the water) or we could land on one of the nice beaches of the area. We can enjoy cold beverages and music – you may even bring your own mp3 player and attach it to our boat’s audio system.

The dressing rooms and showers at the guest harbours are at our disposal for a small fee, as are towels.

The trip is suitable for max 6 people, in which case we can take 2 lounge chairs on board, 3 people can sit on the comfortable sofa in the back and one can sit next to the driver.

Charter
A boating and sight-seeing trip with our picnic package or warm lunch (will be charged separately) in the nature or in a restaurant by the water, if you so wish. You can be picked up from and taken back to your preferred location, for instance your summer cottage. We charge 0,50 €/km for transporting our boat to your location.

The trip is suitable for max 6 people, in which case we can take 2 lounge chairs on board, 3 people can sit on the comfortable sofa in the back and one can sit next to the driver.

About Our Trips

Each trip begins when you step into the boat and ends when the given time of duration of each trip has run out. This means you’ll never be charged for any extra time – it's the responsibility of the trip guide to stay in agreed schedule.

What the Price Includes

All trip prices include guidance, local lure fees and the use of our fishing equipment and clothing (if needed). You are required to pay the national fishing management fee separately – we can assist you with the payment, in which case we need to know the names of the customers 24 hours before the trip. We reserve the right to make changes to our prices.

Picnic Package

Trips that last 1-3 hours: picnic package for 1-6 people is served by reservation, price 35 € for the whole group.
Trips that last 4-8 hours: picnic package is included in the price of the trip.

Our picnic package includes bread, Carelian rice pasties (a local delicacy) or rolls, bread spread, cold cuts and cheese with coffee, tea, cocoa, juice or water. Our prices do not include alcoholic beverages, such as wine.

Insurances

As our customer you are insured against accidents in the boat caused by our carelessness. For accidents that take place elsewhere (on the shore/pier) you need a personal insurance, such as your travel insurance.

Transportation Fee

We charge a fee of 0,50 €/km if we need to transport our boat more than 50 km in total to carry out the trip. We will calculate the fee when you reserve the trip.
